Receive Your Exam Credentials
Your institution or proctor will provide you with an Exam ID and your Registration ID (student ID). These credentials are unique to your exam session and are required to join.
Login & Pre-Exam Setup
Enter your credentials on the ProctrMe homepage and click "Secure Login." You'll be taken to the waiting room, where the platform runs a mandatory pre-exam checklist:
- Webcam access: Grants camera permission for AI face detection during the exam.
- Window maximised: Ensures your browser covers the full screen to prevent split-screen cheating.
- Audio verification: Plays a 3-digit audio code that you must type in to confirm your sound is working.
Wait for the Proctor
Once all checks pass, you'll see a "Waiting for proctor" status. The proctor controls when the exam begins. Do not close or refresh your browser tab — your session is active and monitored.
Take the Exam
When the proctor starts the session, you'll see the questions. Navigate through sections using the on-screen buttons. Each section may have its own time limit. The AI proctoring system monitors your session in the background — you'll see a small camera preview in the corner showing your live feed.
Security measures active during the exam include face tracking, phone detection, tab-switch alerts, clipboard blocking, and anti-screenshot protections. Simply focus on your exam and these won't affect you.
Submit & See Results
After completing all sections, click "Finish Test" to submit. For objective (MCQ) exams, your score is calculated instantly and displayed on screen. Your proctor and institution also receive the results in real-time.
Login to the Proctor Dashboard
Navigate to the Proctor Gateway and sign in using your institutional email, Google account, or admin credentials. New proctors can create an account directly from the signup tab.
Create or Select an Exam
From the dashboard, you can create a new exam using the Exam Builder or select an existing exam. The builder supports multiple question types (MCQ, True/False, Short Answer), section-based organisation, individual section timers, and question randomisation.
Share Credentials with Students
Each exam gets a unique Exam ID. Share this ID along with student registration IDs via your institution's communication channels. Students use these to join the waiting room.
Monitor & Start the Exam
The proctor dashboard shows all connected students in real-time. You can see who has joined, verify their pre-exam checklist status, and when ready, start the exam for all students simultaneously. During the exam, the dashboard displays live violation counts, tab-switch alerts, and face detection status for each student.
Review Results & Violations
After all students submit (or time expires), view comprehensive results including scores, answer breakdowns, violation logs, and session metadata. Export results to Google Sheets for institutional record-keeping.
Set Up Your Institution
Create your ProctrMe admin account and configure your institution's settings. This includes setting up proctor accounts, defining student registration lists, and customising exam policies (violation thresholds, allowed question types, etc.).
Build Your Question Bank
Use the Exam Builder to create and organise questions into sections and exams. Support for batch import from spreadsheets makes it easy to migrate existing question banks. All data is stored securely in Google Firebase with real-time synchronisation.
Deploy Exams at Scale
Schedule and deploy exams across multiple departments and student groups. ProctrMe's Firebase-powered infrastructure supports thousands of concurrent students with 99.9% uptime and zero-latency data sync across all connected devices.
Analyse & Report
Access institution-wide analytics including exam completion rates, average scores, violation patterns, and student performance trends. Generate detailed reports for academic boards and accreditation bodies.
